The worry, the anxiety, the adventure.....all in school holidays. Being a working mom, I am more worried when school holidays start. The worry whether my children will behave when mom is out to work. The anxiety what might happen at home when you leave your kids at home. The adventure that they will undergo and plan during the long day.
So, I decided to give each of them a task that they have to complete. I need to build a curriculum for school holidays to fit their time appropriately. If not they would just lose themselves into indulging in video games, movies, ipad applications, downloading new stuff...and more and more and more.....
Surprisingly, by giving them responsibility they manage to follow well enough. I could not expect perfection though. They are awesome kids who would follow instructions if given properly. Of course there are some who may not follow entirely but at least if the job is half done I would be happy enough. I need to balance their time though with the house chores. So, if they seek permission to play outside after job well-done..I would be happy to comply.
Hmmm....school holidays are not bad after all. Promise you, my dear children...will make up the time with you in the future.....
